Of course women aren’t ”wired” to be interested in sexual variety in the same way as men do. Their ”investment” is far too great (pregnancy 9 months, childbirth, breast feeding 1 year, ending up with a special bond to the child, celebrated as ”motherhood”).
Men have in fact to be reined in, groomed for marriage. With a smaller, ”biological investment” (injecting sperm) they maintain somehow a different attitude to sex.
Men learn how to be fathers, faithful and ”married” , thanks to patriarchy (romance, gentility, chivalry, Christian values etc) – but are known to retain an untamed streak.
Biological sex differences affect us in a complex and simple way. Simplicity is in the motherhood, and family – a team for protection of the child. Until death do us apart.
Promiscuity on the other hand is complex
– it’s risk to take for a young women. She can loose her fertility, get hooked up with the wrong guy, become a single mother.
Having contraceptives around (for 70 years) does not fundamentally change the genetic ”design” (that is at least 200.000, if not 2 million years of age).
The wave of sexual freedom since the sixties was I believe partially about wishful thinking, induced by commercial and ideological forces.
However, ”when the egg clock strikes”, everything is about selecting a faithful guy who can support childbirth, family. And vice versa for the man of suitable age.
That females have more to loose by promiscuity might also to be seen in the metoo campaign. After 40 years of mixing sex, drugs & workplace..?
Is that also why a lot of people start to see conservative ideology as the ”progressive alternative”?
Seductive propaganda seem to be able to create chaos – never to transform the biological differences.
For really vile gender propaganda, read also the Scum Manifesto from the sixties, and behold!

(In Sweden the Scum-Manifesto has been hailed by the Swedish academy, Sara Stridsberg, as ”visionary” and with ”bearing on the future”. It’s staged and dramatized, repeatedly, at avant garde theaters).
My point is that most people cannot argue against the fact that biological differences between man and woman are bound to affect their feelings and behaviors.
My recommendation is to remain cool about it.
