In the magazine ”Arena av Idag” 19 September, the author #Maria_Küchen makes an effort to place Jordan Peterson among the fascists.

Long Story, short:

She performs some of her own arguments regarding JP’s ”Maps of Meaning” – a rather insinuating discourse, without accounting for the evolutionary research on which Jordan Peterson has based himself.

She attacks JP’s weak point, his delight in Carl Jung’s psychoanalytically founded theories. In these sections she has scored. (There are some superficial similarities with fascism here. But to point it out, brings little satisfaction).

Through the constellation of postmodernism / Marxism / Feminism, they themselves have had a position of power in behavioral science and humanities – affecting the Swedish policies.

Jordan Peterson now, is lambasting their ”old school”.

Those who long time have held power are allways weakened in their capacity to argue – ( not being criticised for decades!).

Maria Küchen makes the mistake of dismissing the whole internet phenomenon (= JP became known & debated via Youtube, pods) as ”suspicious seduction”, non-scientific.

Thus, primarily TEXTS would be worthy bearer of scientific truth. That JP (like Hitler) might seduce the ignorant masses by personal charm.

Rather, the Internets media, has become part of university and education. Impact growing rapidly.

Discussing dominance hierarchies in nature and in the society, Maria Küchen wants to put JP back, among the postmodernists – he seems to relativize his own claims.

Dominance Hierarchies are both the foundation for all living beings ( creating ”stable orders”) but also causing unavoidable chaos (when dissolved).

There is for sure also an element of seduction in JP’s discourse (as with Marx, Hitler, Freud etc.).

But one should rather see him as an agitator for caution and dialogue in present time.

”Do NOT experiment politically with biogical fundaments, such as gender”.

”Do NOT try to smash the existing order (reform it gently!)”

What we call ”truth” in common speech, emerges first as a blasphemy.
Then it is silenced (not appropriate to talk about)
In the end it will be accepted.
(At which point, we act as if we had always had possessed the new convictions).
